trying to learn how to scream?

Question

my band wants me too. So we can have two screamed vocals ...

And no this does NOT hurt my throat.

You need to move more air through your vocal chords. Breathe deeper when you scream and practice a lot so your vocal chords get used to the abuse. You might not believe it, but a lot of the techniques opera singers use to sing loudly work for metal as well. Do a few google searches for how to sing opera. remember, its all about controlling your diaphram and your breathing.
