You are right ... websites (and books too) cannot give an overall interpretation.
You need either an astrologer, or to learn astrology well enough.
It takes time, but it is relatively simple to interpret your own chart. Learn what facet of your personality, what inner need, each planet represents.
The sign that planet is in, is the general style for that facet/need.
The house it is in shows where you look, in life, to meet that need.
The aspects with other planets who how that particular need supports or contradicts other needs (internal harmony, or internal discord/stress).
Yes, we all have these contradictory pulls. Sometimes it is because "personal planets" (Sun through Mars) are in signs that have far-different priorities. Sometime it comes from square or opposition aspects between planets.
Understand that from Saturn on out, we are dealing with planets that move very slowly. While Moon takes 2.5 days to move through one sign, Saturn takes 2.5 YEARS .. and Uranus takes about 7 years to move through a sign.
Therefore, many people in your age group have Saturn conjunct Uranus. Neither the sign nor the conjunction are particularly individual to YOU, but the house placement will be, and so will any aspects from the personal planets to your Saturn-Uranus conjunction.
Saturn is how you handle reality. This includes limitation. How well you can tolerate reality and its limitations, and how well you can work and structure yourself within the framework of reality.
Uranus is how you try to become an individual.
So when Saturn and Uranus are conjunct, they work as if they are one drive, joined at the hip.
The individuality, the creativity of Uranus (creative because it breaks out of conforming molds) finds form with Saturn. You make things happen with your creativity (rather than just ideas or rebelling .. as Uranus can sometimes be like). You have the practicality to understand when and where it is useless to buck authority, but also the ability to plan how and where to pursue your individualistic drives, and when it is sensible to claim your freedom, and when not.
Yes, I could go into the 2nd house, the sign, and other aspects to this conjunction .. and that is what you must do (or an astrologer would do). But there is not the room in this character-limited Y/A box.
But the IMPORTANT thing is that YOU understand the basic drive and need that is shown by this conjunction, and then you LOOK inside yourself to see how YOU feel it.
So .. You tell ME how this operates for you.
As the astrologer, I tell you if you've connected with what that conjunction means, or it you need to look again, deeper, a little to the left, etc.
Readings are a two-way interaction. Always done in real-time format (in person, over the phone, or on Skype).
If you get a written interpretation, what you have is a computer-generated report. The professional astrological software programs all offer a "report-writer" program, but really the info is no better than what you get for free off the websites. We call this a "cookbook approach", where you take each factor and describe it individually.
It takes an hour of talking to go over the information in the birthchart. To write it out would take 12 hours, and about 18-25 pages .. which is why astrologers do NOT do that. Not only is it a waste of time .. astrologers charge by the hour, and you'd be a fool to pay me for 12 hours when one would suffice.
More significantly, we need to know that YOU understand the concepts and dynamics we are presenting, as shown by the birthchart. This means we need your feedback and participation.
The chart shows only the inner dynamics, but how YOU handle them .. that cannot be shown by the chart.
Finally, if you wish to use an astrology, find a certified professional astrologer. This means that they have written and passed a certification exam, drafted up (and proctored and graded) by the astrological community. Astrologers strive to maintain standards and the dignity of astrology, by creating these certifications, to ensure the quality of astrological work that is offered to the public. And they are NOT easy to pass. Just in my city alone, I know 3 times as many astrologers (some practicing for 30 or more years) who are not able to pass the exams, as I know those who HAVE passed.
In North American, you can find listings of professionally certified astrologers on the websites of:
The American Federation of Astrologers
International Society for Astrological Research
National Council for Geocosmic Research
