Question:
My boyfriend seemed to be defending the patriarchy and dissing the feminazis? Does this make him sexist?

I'm a feminist and he claims he is too. I've known him for over a year and I know he cares and loves for me deeply and truthfully there are sometimes where I thought he might be a better feminist than me. But something about our conversation yesterday yesterday ticked me off.
Me: "**** the patriarchy"
Him: "chill girl"
Me: "what's wrong with **** the patriarchy"
Him: "It makes you sound like a feminazi"
Me: "but I'm not"
Him:"I know it just what it sounds like"
And then I was changing the wording of it and said "
"Fight the patriarchy"
Him: "fight the power"
And he wouldn't say fight the patriarchy no matter how much I asked because he's a so called 'rebel' and doesn't do what he's told.

Later on the next day I texted "**** feminazis" and he said it back without a problem and I asked "wtf you made it sound so difficult to say **** the patriarchy but sayinf **** feminazis" and then he asks me "what did the patriarchy ever do to you?" And I go on about how both concepts are terrible (superiority of women over men and men over women) and he goes on to tell me that feminazis are worse. He keeps talking like patriarchy is completely fine?

Let's get this straight; feminazi's don't believe in equality. They believe women should be benefited more than men and if corrected or disagreed with, you are guaranteed for a lecture that'll be one sided. They'll throw tantrums just to prove an invalid point with no evidence or REAL scientific statistics. I'm glad you're boyfriend was dissing them.

Secondly, not being a feminist doesn't mean you're sexist. In fact, sometimes feminism does lead to sexism. (Which also leads to the route of a feminazi; theyre the most sexist ones). Yes, the movement of feminism is not sexist and they stand for equality too, but sometimes the other things feminists stand for very much is. Same goes for menism, both of which make me want to drink bleach.

So unless your boyfriend is a meninist, it shouldn't affect you if he's a feminist or not.

Because Feminazis are people who think that men should be placed at lower levels than women on the basis of 'equality', as compared to feminists who believe both men and women should be equal.
