...one thing at a time? Which makes both of them think the other is ignoring them! Then they get mad at each other and say things, so they do ignore each other.

I am a male and I can multi-task well. My wife, who can multi-task at work, wonders how I can read and watch tv at the same time. My son, however, is very singularly focused on tasks. It is not an easy generalization to make.
